H. R. Allen, Inc. is an experienced electrical and mechanical contractor with four office locations in South Carolina; Charleston, Columbia, Piedmont/Greenville and Conway.

We are looking to hire one experienced Delivery Driver / Material Handler to join our Piedmont/Greenville office staff. Driver will be driving company vehicles, vans, etc... Ideal candidate should have a desire to learn about products and tools associated with the electrical trade. We prefer a candidate with a clean driving record. Anyone with experience in the electrical trade would be a good candidate.

Position Overview: Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and/or pick up of electrical supplies to specified locations/jobsites. Responsibilities also include safe operation of vehicle, vehicle maintenance, and loading and unloading trucks in an efficient manner.

Primary Duties:

• Drive company trucks making prompt, on schedule deliveries and pick-ups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule.
• Perform warehouse duties when called upon which includes material handling, shipping and receiving, picking and packing orders.
• Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Maintain vehicle properly.
• Report and record damage to vehicles and/or product, equipment, and vehicles.

Qualifications:

A valid driver's license with no driving violations. (Qualified candidates - we will pull your driving record).

• Must possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be a self starter and have the ability to communicate (verbal and written).
• Previous product delivery experience and knowledge of the delivery area preferred.
• Forklift experience a plus.

Deliveries and pickup will occur at all of our jobsites in the upstate throughout the work day. Work day will typically end at our warehouse location in Piedmont, SC.
