Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in social sciences or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managing and analyzing data, synthesizing data sets, and conducting human subjects research is highly preferred.

Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Assists the investigators in the day-to-day operations of the project, particularly data collection and management.
- Converts and codes incoming archival data from other systems.
- Synthesizes data sets across sources.
- Oversees data collection.
- Works closely with the investigators, project director, and research specialists to ensure that data is collected in a way that is appropriate for analysis.
- Maintains primary responsibility for the integrity of all data sets.
- Supervises lower level personnel to include assigning tasks and checking work.
- Participates in writing and submitting reports to the federal funding agency.
- Prepares data for dissemination to partnering agencies.
- Participates in manuscript preparation.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
- Related duties as required.
