A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE ASSISTANT CONFERENCE BANQUETING MANAGER AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Bars Events Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the Conference Banqueting department within the Hotel
  • Maintain the highest standards of guest care, ensuring the team deliver a friendly, efficient, and professional service
  • Recruitment
  • Training development of the team
  • Ensuring that the team comply to current licensing, health safety, food safety and fire regulations
  • Continuously review team behaviour, appearance, and performance
  • Supporting the wider hotel as part of the management team which will include duty management shifts

To succeed in the role of Assistant Conference Banqueting Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • An enthusiastic individual, who aspires to be the best and can offer a warm and friendly welcome to all guests to make their visit exceptional
  • Strong leadership, management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Prior experience of a similar sized front of house operation
  • People focused, with strong attention to detail and the ability to lead from the front to ensure the team deliver a standard of service that meets the needs and expectations of our guests
