Job description

Our talented Helpers or Fitters work closely with the Foremen to perform fire sprinkler systems installation accurately, on schedule, and within budget. You will work with the Foreman on the jobsite to follow procedures, blueprints and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes and fittings. This includes connecting fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints and hand tools. You will assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools. You will also run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjusts hangers, etc. Very importantly, you will ensure systems are glued together properly and follow procedures to test system for leaks.

To be hired at WAFS as a Helper or Fitter, it would be helpful if you have construction experience or enjoy working with your hands. If not, we will train you!
