Do you have a communications background and interested in joining the largest retail transformation programme in the world?
Supporting the Future programme as Asda separates from Wal-Mart for over 140,000 colleagues, the Communication Co-Ordinator will develop and execute communication campaigns that make sure every colleague is informed, engaged, and motivated to give their best work. You'll use your experience to design and execute inspiring campaigns across a range of digital and print channels. You'll deliver clear and planned communication to support our change projects, explaining the why and putting plans in the context of wider business priorities.
Please note this is an 18 month Secondment / fixed term position, but a high percentage of our fixed term colleagues secure permanent opportunities along the way.
Your Role
- Work closely with the ALS (Asda Logistics) Programme teams to support the delivery of the function specific communication plans
- Own strategic priorities and build relationships with subject matter experts across the business to build communication campaigns that bring these to life
- Support the content generation for the ALS programme materials
- Develop engaging creative content, making sure all communication is on brand, delivered in the Asda tone of voice
- Create campaigns that are aligned across multiple channels and audience groups, tailoring content where necessary to create maximum impact
- Produce footage to support the Future communication and engagement channels
- Bring creative input, ideas and innovation to generate impactful communications
- Design and build templates and articles within the programme communication tools and systems
- Support the development and delivery of the ALS programme engagement plan
- Support the events strategy and delivery for the ALS programme
- Produce attractive and effective designs for all digital content
- Measure the effectiveness of communication channels through listening groups, analytics, and other methods
- Maintain critical distribution lists making sure data is accurate so that communication lands to the right audience
About You
- Well organised and able to balance changing priorities and multiple deliverables
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with attention to detail
- Creative and gets the best out of others with the ability to generate innovative ideas
- Experience of MS Office packages and Sharepoint
- Experience in a Communication Co-ordinator role
- Experience of producing and editing video content (ideal)
