As a Demand Planner , you will play a key role in the Company’s Supply Chain organization. The Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting customer orders impacting inventory levels and order fill rates.

POSITION OF THE JOB IN THE ORGANIZATION

Department: Reporting to: Demand Planning Manager

Scope: Local / Regional / Global

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Focus on key driving factors that influence supply chain performance metrics; such as inventory availability, forecast error, and customer order fill rates.
Produce weekly forecasts at the account sku level, which affect retail in-stock position and purchases with overseas suppliers.
Develop new item forecasting models based on account, product category, retail price points, and seasonality.
Revise initial forecasts based on early point-of-sale data collected from our major retailers.
Work closely with Supply Planners to achieve optimum in-stock position.
Develop a rapport with the Sales team to integrate demand drivers into forecasts including store counts, promotional activity, new style updates, phase out strategies, placement, pricing and internal revenue budgets.
Collaborate with accounts to incorporate retail inventory levels, EDI generated system orders, and open-to-buy into forecasts.
Perform regularly scheduled and ad-hoc analysis and reporting related to forecast performance metrics, inventory levels, and order fill rates.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE

PROFICIENCIES REQUIRED:
Ability to demonstrate outstanding analytical, financial acumen, planning and inventory control skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of distribution, sourcing, order processing, and supply chain principles.
Demonstrated ability to support and collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Merchandising, Supply Planning).
Proficient with MS-Office programs, primarily Excel.
Forecasting software experience a plus
Fluent English (both spoken and written), other language is a plus

Strong business partnering skills
Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual teams.

Influencing skills and project management experience in a matrix and complex organization, covering multi-region scope.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required in a related discipline (material planning, supply chain, statistics, logistics).
2+ years of professional experience in a related field.
