Speedway is immediately hiring an Electronic Technician responsible for the repair and restoration of electronic store equipment including, but not limited to, fuel controllers, cash drawers, coin changer equipment, biometric time clocks and door locks, cash printers and scanners, and touch screen terminals; uses hand and power tools in addition to special equipment to complete assigned work tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and prioritizes duties and work assignments on a daily basis
  • Repairs electronic equipment sent to the Repair Shop
  • Completes daily reports regarding repair activities to account for time and use of parts and materials
  • Reads, interprets and follows procedures described in service manuals per manufacturer guidelines
  • Assists help desk or field personnel as necessary
  • Assists in the rollout of point-of-sale hardware used at store locations
  • Ensures that all returned equipment with a hard drive or flash memory is processed in a timely fashion to remove sensitive data
  • Attends training classes as necessary (both in and out of local area) to maintain or improve proficiency in repair of specific equipment
  • Helps ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws, regulations and Company guidelines by completing required trainings and obtaining required certifications
  • Maintains knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations to ensure environmentally safe disposal of all equipment
  • Collaborates with internal partners to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
  • Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management

Education Requirements:

  • Certification from accredited electronic repair program or equivalent education and experience

Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel and other MS Office suite applications
  • Good understanding of basic equipment maintenance
  • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools in addition to special equipment to complete work assignments
  • Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds

Additional Requirements:

  • Available to travel as needed, which may include overnight stays
