ROAD/ WATER SYSTEM MAINTENACE

Waterville Estates Village District is a governmental entity, governed by NH State Statutes, which is funded by property taxes and water rates. The District is governed by a Board of three Commissioners, who are elected at the Annual Meeting of registered voters. The District owns and is responsible for maintenance of the Community Center, Ski Lodge and ski area, water system, and many of the roads within its boundary. It also provides administrative support to Waterville Estates Association and its recreation programs.

Job Summary

The Road Department is responsible for maintaining the roads owned by Waterville Estates Village District. The maintenance of the roads in the summer and winter months, assisting the Roads & Water System Manager with locating water and repair leaks. Due to the nature of roads and water some nights and weekends will be require for storm related issues.

This is a fulltime position with company paid Anthem HMO, Delta Dental Insurances and NH Retirement, sick and vacation.

Pay Rate $20 - $22 depending on experience

Responsibilities

- Repairing roads that have potholes

- Maintaining road ditches to reduce damage to roads from rain run off

- Plowing and sand/ salting of roads in winter months

- Trimming of tree branches overhanging the roads

- Maintenance of equipment

- Assist with construction projects

- Assist with locating leaks in the water system

- Repairing water leaks

- Assist with water testing & reporting to the DE

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Valid driver’s license

- Knowledge of operating heavy equipment

- Knowledge of operating and safety of chain saws

- Basic mechanic knowledge

- Basic computer skills

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
