Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include:
- Manage the day-to-day finance operations: Accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses and cash management.
- Lead end-to-end month-end close process, including all general ledger entries and bookkeeping, bank and trial balance reconciliations, P&L and balance sheet review and the preparation of management accounts/financial reports.
- Develop monthly management packs
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Manage a rolling liquidity forecast
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Take ownership of chart of accounts
- Assess finance system requirements
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Accountant will be:
- Someone who understands start ups and what challenges this can bring - patience, resilience and problem solving
- Driven and motivated
- Happy to set up processes and analyse current processes and systems
- Part qualified ACA/ACCA
- Experience of working in a finance team.
- Managing key financial processes, bookkeeping and the preparation of management accounts.
- Strong technical accounting acumen with solid experience of preparing financial statements
- Some experience of finance/accounting systems and implementing process improvements.
