Position Summary
We are currently seeking to engage a Site Operative for our Depot based in Audenshaw, Manchester
We are seeking a new Team Member to support the daily upkeep of a busy Engineering Maintenance Depot.
The position has a broad responsibility in providing an all-encompassing service to the Stores and Materials Team in ensuring that parts and materials are stored in their appropriate areas on the Depot, moving materials between storage and the workshop team, loading and unloading HGV's with materials using a counter balance Fork Lift Truck
You will report to the Stores Supervisor with the primary responsibility being the safe and efficient operation of the unit's Counter Balance Fork Lift Truck
Person Profile/Experience:
We are looking for a dynamic Team Player to oversee the safe movement of materials around the Depot
You will be confident in undertaking the loading and unloading of HGV
You will be able to be flexible to working hours and be able to work between 07.00 and 17.30 Monday to Friday
Key Criteria:
Current Operational experience in similar role
Able to multi-task and make quick decisions for short notice changes to work plans
Ability to work independently and on own initiative
Excellent and clear communication skills to relay important safety messages to colleagues
Safety conscious and ability to remain calm
Flexible attitude to working hours
Previous experience in the use Fork Lift Trucks, ideally with a current Counter Balance License
