  • Busy Chiropractic office in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a part time assistant

Duties include:

Administrative

  • Greet patients/ check patients in/out
  • Uphold a positive and fun environment up at the front desk- Ability and desire to converse with people while getting work done
  • Handle and coordinate patients’ appointments and chiropractor’s schedules
  • Take phone calls and provide callers with needed information
  • Ensure that records are filed properly and shredded once saved to the patient management system
  • Take, record and verify insurance information
  • Ensure that any paid services are handled properly by employing billing activities
  • Run scans for doctors
  • Administrative experience required

A look into the office daily flow may look like....

Front Desk – Employee

  • Arrive 30 minutes before the office opens for opening duties.
  • Turn on all the lights.
  • Check all voicemails and faxes and leave notes for appropriate staff members if needed.
  • Make sure all paperwork is ready for the day and log into the EMR.
  • Look over the Daily Checklist from the previous day, wipe clean, and check off items throughout the day.
  • Greet and check in every patient when they arrive and put them in the correct treatment room if needed.
  • Verify each patient’s insurance is correct and up-to-date if they are using insurance for treatment.
  • If there is a new patient make sure proper intake paperwork is completed before they are seen by the provider, get insurance information and start verifying insurance while they are being treated, and add appropriate alerts or comments in their chart.
  • Verify that the case is built correctly and fully. Also verify the guarantor is done.
  • Check out each patient and take payment if needed. Make sure payment is documented in EMR.
  • Answer each phone call and have a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Scan, fax, and attach any and all paperwork to patient charts in a timely manner.
  • Run a “recall” report for missed appointments and call patients as needed.
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude and appearance. This includes following the dress code.
  • Treat all patients and staff with respect. This includes addressing the doctors by “Dr.”
  • Work with staff members in a positive team environment.
  • At the end of the day, general office maintenance is expected, including but not limited to:
  • -All trash cans are emptied. (this should be done throughout the day in treatment rooms)
  • -Wipe down any surfaces that are dirty – including any windows and the doors.
  • -Vacuum and/or mop if needed.
  • -All paperwork is put away correctly and the next day paperwork is prepped. Including auditing every account for the next day, up to date intakes, up to date insurance, making sure case and information is correct, and making appropriate notes in the appointment.
  • -All payments, charges, and any notes needed are completed and balanced.
  • -End of Day balancing and paperwork is put on the back desk before leaving.

* Hours are Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 9am-6pm, Tuesday & Friday 9am-1pm and one Saturday a month 9-11 am. Training schedule will very. Looking for someone who can work the full M-F schedule.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
