Job description
The Urgent Treatment Centre is based on the ground floor of South Bristol Community Hospital in Hengrove. It provides a nurse/paramedic led walk-in service for adults and children with new minor illnesses and injuries. Our aim is to prevent hospital admissions and Emergency Department attendances where appropriate and to support our local GP surgeries.
The Centre is a fast paced and busy service, as a Health Care Assistant you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of patient interventions, including venepuncture, wound care and electrocardiogram (ECG) and dressings. We are looking for candidates who have experience of performing a broad base of clinical practices.
The Urgent Treatment Centre is open 7 days a week, due to the opening hours you will need to be flexible, and willing to cover shifts starting at 07:45 or finishing at 20:45 if necessary.
