Exciting opportunities have arisen within our general surgical unit for band 3 health care support workers. Our fast paced surgical assessment unit, acute receiving ward and elective surgery & enhanced care wards are currently seeking candidates to join our forward thinking surgical team.

When you work with us you become part of a team whose focus and priority is to continually improve the care we provide for our patients and those that matter most to them. To continue doing what we do so well, and to further strengthen our team, we are looking for people who want to help us deliver excellent care and provide the best patient experience.

You will be committed to providing safe effective, people centred care to our patient group. Experience within the healthcare environment is essential with SVQ in healthcare, surgical experience and experience in extended roles desirable, however we are committed to investing in our team and will provide training opportunities to develop clinical skills and knowledge within the surgical setting.

You will be an organised individual, able to adapt to the needs of the service and people accessing our services and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment. You must be commitment to personal development, quality improvement and the delivery of excellent, high quality care.

To allow the opportunity to experience our surgical unit and meet our staff, we are delighted to welcome potential new members of our team to our first face-to face ‘Meet the Team’ event providing time with our surgical nursing team, consultant colleagues and specialist nurses who will provide all the knowledge and information relating to our dynamic Surgical unit.

This post has opportunity to rotate within the general surgery areas. Various hours available and negotiable.
