Job description

The orthopaedic inpatient department at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital are looking for Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers to join our team caring for in-patients with a variety of orthopaedic conditions. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will provide care to patients in support of the trained nurses and will regularly work unsupervised. You will support trained staff in the provision of direct patient care, use of IT systems and with housekeeping duties as required. It is essential you have good organisation and communication skills with the ability to work within a team. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is desirable. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership. Hours are 37.5 hours per week full time, working a 12 hour shift pattern over day and night shifts, including weekend and public holiday cover.
