Position Summary:

This position will serve as a central hub in the overall SLS sales and marketing strategy. Leads from marketing channels, (email marketing, website tracking, social media, Google) and any future marking automation software will be categorized for further development or immediate delivery to outside sales reps. Historical sales data, current industry trends and intelligence will be analyzed to develop action items for inside and outside sales follow up with a focus on existing customer maintenance and new business development. This role begins with an opportunity to help design and implement an effective sales and customer retention process from prospecting/lead generation, nurturing, project scoping, order entry, order management, delivery, installation, service, customer maintenance and customer retention - including CRM tools and KPIs, and then play a key role in implementing that process. Following successful implementation of a prospecting process this role adds international sales development to the scope making this an excellent role for growth and development within the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Build

· Evaluate existing sales and marketing channels, previous prospecting efforts, CRM procedures and capabilities and historical sales data.

· Work with Sales and Marketing teams to develop a winning prospecting strategy.

· Implement the prospecting strategy, including CRM functionality, metrics recording and KPIs, and make any changes or improvements necessary.

· Evaluate sales process from lead identification to customer retention. Help modify sales process to yield greater efficiency, ownership, and success.

Improve

· Train and manage outside sales team’s adoption of prospecting plan

· Identify additional CRM improvements (dashboard reports, integrations, etc.) that will streamline the prospecting process.

· Help outside sales team develop leads by assigning lead-specific tasks in CRM.

· Maintain metrics and report on efforts.

Maintain

· Continue to monitor and improve prospecting plan

· Help sales team continue to adopt plan and CRM tools

· Focus on new business development and revenue growth

· Add International Sales to responsibilities

o Survey of all international accounts

o Identify growth opportunities

o Develop and execute plan to grow with each account

o Meet or exceed growth over prior year and sales plan for assigned international accounts

· Future planning

Requirements

Qualifications:

· Outstanding work ethic – needs very little oversight and motivated by excitement at the prospect of success.

· Excellent communicator – this role requires being a coach, a leader, an information hub, and process developer.

· Detailed understanding of CRM – why we need it and how it works and the ability to implement and effectively integrate into the sales org.

· Positive mindset –this person will be a positive influence on workplace culture and productivity.

· Service oriented –understands the value of the customer and is dedicated to giving them what they need yet still delivering on the Sloan Mission, Vision and Values, with focus on driving net profits.

· Technologically savvy – proficient at using the entire Microsoft suite, including synchronous solutions such as Teams and SharePoint, experience optimizing these tools and building their own workflows for daily success, and has an in depth understanding of CRM systems and their vital functions.

Preferred Hiring Criteria:

· At least 5 years’ experience in an inside sales role

· Several years of experience in energy sector – preferably oil and gas, or an adjacent (supplier) industry.

· CRM programming and implementation experience

· Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent secondary education

Pay: $55,000.00 - $78,500.00 per year
