Logistics Delivery Manager

Do you have demonstrable expertise in operational logistics and supply chain management? If so, come and join our team as a Logistics Delivery Manager!

The key purpose of the role is to own, maintain and develop an efficient logistics service for all cross functional items (Metering, Assets, Tools and Consumables, Uniform, PPE etc) needed for the Customer Operations business unit to operate during a period of transition between legacy and smart metering as part of the UK Smart Metering mass rollout programme.

Pay, benefits and culture…

In addition to a salary starting from £48,800, we offer a market-leading company pension scheme, paid holidays with ability to buy additional holiday and a range of flexible benefits, such as: a company incentive bonus plan, health cover, cycle to work scheme, electric vehicle scheme, gym membership, discounts and employee pricing.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, therefore you do not need to be in the office for this role. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself. We’re committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.

We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.

What you’ll be doing…

In this role, you will be responsible for the resolution of any impacts from within the Supply Chain either upstream or downstream that have a direct impact on the primary logistics function, working collaboratively to meet annualised installation targets. Through the establishment of defined process and procedure, you will have responsibility to drive out opportunities to optimise the service for the wider business benefit.

You will also manage key stakeholders to ensure effective operational management of the 3rd Party providers and localised stores functions through both forward and reverse logistics.

Who you are…

Being a Logistics Delivery Manager at EDF means you will have prior working experience of stores operation and management, including stock management and perpetual inventory.

You’ll have operational acumen, being able to understand complex operational issues, and drive complex solutions to conclusion and will have demonstrable organisational and project planning skills.

We’re looking for someone who has a sound understanding of supplier management and the associated regulatory and competitive landscape, together with experience of logistics implementation and service management.
