Job Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of office and plant by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Implement approved repair and/or capital projects including project engineering, design, and budgetary administration consistent with the authorized budget and schedule.
_Responsibilities of the Role:
- Coordinates, plans and directs major capital and/or repair projects.
- Coordinates, schedules and serves as liaison between production, maintenance and contract personnel for all maintenance projects.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities then schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Coordinates activities of workers modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or compressed air required for operations.
- Coordinates engineering activities and designs for equipment utilization and optimization.
- Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with operations and maintenance staff.
- Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Directs training and indoctrination of maintenance workers to improve work performance, safety practices and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
- Confers with management, extrusion, cast house, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
- Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.
- Must have regular attendance

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Education
- Desired: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
- Required: High School Diploma with advanced training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience
- 10 or more years of related supervisory experience
- Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills
- Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
- Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors and employees of the organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
