Location: London and Surrey

Contract / Shifts available: Permanent full time - 37.5 hours per week

Rate: Up to £23,000

Additional information: A full driving license is essential for this role.

Your new job: As a H&S Compliance Safety Operative you will carry out any repair and maintenance work necessary for the assigned set of homes within your region of responsibility.

Your role will include:

• Carrying out remedial works and repair services to include plumbing, carpentry, fix broken furniture/walls
• Assess work that has been flagged to see if this is necessary and make recommendations of the work to be carried out.
• Regular audits of homes with the region of responsibility to assess whether future repairs/maintenance or remedial work may be necessary to avoid large future works that may arise.
• Carry out any ad hoc work or projects that may be requested by line manager

While your initial responsibility will be for homes in your given area, this role may require nationwide travel to meet the maintenance needs of our services. We will supply a company vehicle (van), fuel card, trade cards and smart phone.

Your Experience:

As well as a full driving license, you will have knowledge of fire safety legislation, proven experience of working in the building trade with a multi skilled background and ideally a specialism such as plumbing or carpentry. You will be a self-motivated team player with excellent time management and organisational skills, professional behaviour, and the ability to use initiative and work with conflicting deadlines.

Experience of working in care home settings is desirable but not essential
