Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
FLSA Status: Hourly non-exempt
Position: Full Time
Reports To: Director of Operations

GENERAL SUMMARY
To perform all necessary repair and maintenance functions for the warehouse complex and our stores. As well as providing a support role with new store openings, customers, delivery and warehouse teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• To perform all necessary repair functions for the warehouse, stores, and customer homes as directed by the Director of

Operations.

• To perform all repairs as submitted through the maintenance request system.
• To set up the racks, cameras, POP, Feature walls and desk at our new store openings
• To provide a back fill to the delivery teams and the warehouse team as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIRED

• High level of knowledge regarding repair and maintenance techniques.
• Ability to work comfortably with Technology and computers
• Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
• High level of personal organization and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet specific deadlines.
• Ability to accept responsibility for their own performance.
• Knowledge of all company and safety procedures and policies.
• A personal commitment to creating an Injury Free Environment at Metro Mattress.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years of experience in Maintenance and repair. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• Clean driver’s license and the ability to pass a DOT physical.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Requires working outdoors in all conditions.
• Basic office skills required; typing, writing, use of standard office equipment.
• 20% of job requires sitting and working on computer, other 80% requires standing and walking, and occasionally lifting up to 200 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
