This position as a John Frieda Marketing intern is meant to help support the brand through business management, trend research, new product tracking, reporting, and more, flexing with the business needs.
What you will do:
Assist with monthly analysis to track & report sales data to review performance of the category, brand, and competition.- Monitors/reports Point of Sales trends, competitive activity, and category trends.
- Researches competitive propositions, copy, and pricing to help create a point of difference for the brand's innovation, communication, etc.
- Understands competitive landscape and implications to the brand.
- Identify data-driven recommendations to help accelerate growth.
- Assist with e-content development, working with the Shopper Excellence team and Direct to Consumer (D2C) Manager for best practices, outages, and more.
- Assist with the execution of Marketing plans that drive brand objectives.
- Assists with asset creation through the internal approval process.
- Assists with marketing programs including development, tracking, and management.
- Helps track promotional and social calendars.
- Assists in reviewing promotional details with the Shopper Excellence Team while managing deadlines.
- Ad hoc / Flex requests.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program
- Ideally has a marketing or data background, either in education or work experience, of at least 1 year.
- Must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business aptitude with demonstrated project management, quantitative and analytical skills, and attention to detail are a must.
- Ability to manage time, multiple projects, and prioritize effectively is critical.
- Understanding of basic marketing principles is strongly preferred.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
