Functional Area: PNX Extruded Product - Shipping

Location: Leetonia, OH

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Materials manager to manage inventory and purchasing procedures of raw materials and other supplies used in our company. Materials managers have experience in supply chain and inventory control. They are characterized by excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude are qualities the ideal candidate must possess. The goal is to ensure our operations have always an adequate flow of the material they need.
Essential Duties of the Role:
- Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs
- Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications
- Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures
- Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
- Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
- Supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates
- Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers
- Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
- Assist in forecasting to plan future orders
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Education
- Desired: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
- Required: High School Diploma with advanced training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- BSc/BA in logistics or relevant field

- 3 or more years of related management experience
- Proven experience as materials manager
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
- Understanding of forecasting and budgeting
- Working knowledge of SAP MM
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- A problem-solver
- BSc/BA in logistics or relevant field

- Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
- Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors and employees of the organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
