Lead change across Virgin Media O2

As a Network Strategy Analyst Apprentice, you’ll join the Modelling and Economics team on their journey to inspire change across the business. This team is responsible for creating technology strategies that are related to radio access network (RAN) and producing a single view on customer demand for both fixed and mobile networks. Your main role will be to develop your skills and aid this team in its overall mission, to help our network reach more people and improve the quality of the technologies we’re providing them.

Build skills for the future

Gain an in-depth understanding of our mobile and fixed network by rotating between specialist teams, including strategy, planning, economics and modelling. Responsibilities you will own include:

Building traffic forecast algorithms to model customer growth and behaviour

Investigating customer traffic pattern trends, seasonal migrations and the impact they have on our business economically

Building techno-economic models to investigate the economic impact of network technologies

Collaborating and assisting the wider team in strategic and competitive analysis

What we look for

We’re looking for someone that has a real passion for technology and is enthusiastic about their own development but also helping our business grow. You should be open to new ways of working, but confident enough to ask questions. Other qualities we’d like to see include:

A good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Ability to work closely with others, as well as individually

Keen, efficient problem solving

Ability to take ownership of projects, problems and tasks
