Eye Clinic & Laser Institute (Est. 1980) is seeking a comprehensive/general Optometrist with a Florida License and medical optometry experience. Experienced Optometrists and New Graduates welcome! Ocular disease residency or medical optometry experience is preferred.

Eye Clinic & Laser Institute is a well-known OD practice with a heavy emphasis on medical eye care/surgery including cataract, diabetic eye disease, AMD, and glaucoma. Candidate should be comfortable with pre and post op cataract/LASIK/PRK and have general knowledge of blepharoplasty surgery. Though majority of the exams are medical, candidate must understand contact lens fitting and refraction. Our practice has OCT with angio, Humphrey visual field, pentacam, and ultrasound.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases and disorders of the eyes
• Prescribe treatment and ophthalmic devices, such as glasses and contact lenses
• Perform clinical procedures necessary to correct vision
• Manage optometry activities and supervise technicians

Requirements:

• Degree in Optometry from a recognized accredited U.S. school of Optometry
• Relevant Florida State license to practice Optometry
• Must be in good standing with relevant State Board of Optometry
• Must not be excluded from participating in any vision, medical or Medicare plans
