Job description

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for handling various sales activities, including facilitating purchases and providing excellent customer service.

The specific duties and responsibilities of a Retail Sales Associate vary widely but typically include the following:

· Be aware of and help to ensure compliance with health and county, state, and federal liquor control regulations

· Greet customers when they enter the store

· Answer the phone with a friendly tone

· Build rapport through conversation and recommendations

· Study for and pass the red card test, in accordance with Kauai Liquor Control Commission

· Inform customers about product information

· Keep the sales floor stocked with merchandise

· Assist with displaying merchandise

· Organize the sales floor and stock area

· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure rum tastings occur on schedule and to capacity

· Comfortable with speaking to large groups of people and providing clear directions

· Keep the store clean

· Accurately process cash, credit cards, and gift cards

· Able to stand for several consecutive hours

· Have a flexible schedule to work a variety of hours which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends

· Other tasks, as needed, to assist store manager/ assistant manager

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
