Payroll Senior Manager

Asda is going on a unique system transformation journey, one of the biggest in Europe and you can play a role in its success. The People project team will be transforming all current systems to a new digital core, powered by best in class solutions from Workday, Service Now and an upgraded outsourced payroll solution. As the Payroll Senior Manager you will play a lead role in the payroll system change ; design, testing, delivery and implementation.

Your Role

• Project implementation - Lead on the future payroll project phases ; design, testing, business readiness, implementation and hypercare, for the new outsourced payroll solution
• Payroll compliance - Support all the payroll and other teams to assess all key risks and associated controls/reporting required in order to set up a compliant payroll service for all parts of the Asda business
• Payroll operation – This role will lead the payroll transformation to help set up a new payroll operation, including service levels, in a managed payroll service

About You

• Previous overall accountability of a managed service payroll operation, including expertise in payroll regulations, legislation and taxes
• Experience of vendor managed service with WorkDay
• Strong understanding of upstream payroll inputs and integrations
• Thorough understanding of all key risks and associated payroll controls

• Excellent understanding of HR/Payroll systems and process improvement

• Experience of vendor managed service with WorkDay

• Experience of payroll transformation
