The Prince William County Attorney's Office seeks a full-time Deputy County Attorney to render legal services to the Board of County Supervisors and the various departments and agencies of the County in civil litigation and provision of legal advice involving a variety of tasks related to local government law. Incumbents supervise assigned legal staff and represent the County in increasingly complex and sensitive civil legal matters. Incumbents work under little to no supervision. Responsibilities may include assisting in the development of long-term, county wide strategy in legal area; providing legal advice, assistance and training; and representing the County in court. Incumbents have more civil legal experience and increased interactions with management / department heads and the BOCS.
