2nd shift Supervisor - overtime eligible position
Vibracoustic's operation in Manchester NH produces a high-volume of molded microcellular urethane (MCU) parts for the automotive industry. The primary responsibility of the Production Shift Supervisor is to supervise manufacturing operations for the shift by planning and organizing work, assignment and development of staffing, leading shift personnel toward the achievement of production goals and monitoring/controlling work flow and job performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with Production management to plan, schedule, and coordinate prodiction
- Maintains work flow by monitoring process, equipment, personnel and resources.
- Communicate job expectations
- Coach and disciplining employees
- Make daily decisions regarding productivity, quality and employee management
- Establish an environment of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Accountable for machinery and personnel, production space and housekeeping.
- Manage process and material flows, space management and work with Engineering to maximize production.
- Develop and recommend improvements to facilities, equipment or procedures to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
- Participate in or lead VPS improvement projects
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process problems.
- Maintains staff by working closely with Human Resources and Operations
- Proactively promotes safe working practices
- Be involved in the creation, implementation, oversight and/or revision of systems and procedures
- Provides production-related information and reports tp convey key production metrics
- Performs necessary functions to adhere to ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
COMPETENCIES
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Ability to train others in these skills
- Demonstrated diplomacy in dealing with employees at all levels
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school/GED required, Associates or Bachelors degree a plus
- 3-5 years relevant manufacturing experience in a senior or lead capacity with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity
- Experience in a high-volume production environment required
- Lean training, supervisory and business training and S.P.C. preferred
- Well organized and self-starter
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, Powerpoint; SAP experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $59,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
