Role Summary:
The QA Analyst will design, create and review manual testing solutions (Black & White Box) for external and customer-facing applications. The ideal person has experience with testability, robustness, and performance of production software in addition to programming/development experience. The QA engineering team creates object-oriented automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process. Collaboration with Product Owners, SW Engineers, QA Analysts and delivery teams in a SAFe Agile environments will be highly desired and this person will be a part of passionate consulting team that enjoys delivering high-quality applications, enhancing the customer's experience, and improving operational efficiency by developing test suites.
Responsibilities:
- Perform system testing, verifying conformance to established requirements and diagnose causes of failures while developing formal test procedures.
- Analyze product requirements, discuss with design groups and prepare test plans/test cases with clear focus on Black Box and White Box testing needs.
- Create and execute test specifications from design requirements, analyzing and reporting test results and reporting on defect resolution.
- Assist in preparing test plans and prepare detailed test cases.
- Test all new products releases / builds and test biometric software before shipping to customer.
- Set up test environment and test new product releases/builds in addition to verifying user guides and installation documents.
- Test all customer implementations including fresh installations and migrations by replicating the customer environment.
- Participate in the manual testing for multiple projects to verify functionality while understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
- Investigate and assist with customer problems referred to you by the technical support team, testing defects, and creating and managing defect reports.
- Work with technical teams, customers and upper management to produce project documents and understand customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
Required Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- 2+ years’ of experience with manual and automated testing
- Understanding of the following programming languages (Java, C#)
- Experience with commercial bug tracking systems for reporting bugs and client server applications (JIRA)
Plus:
- Any prior experience with automation testing tools Selenium and Cucumber is a plus but not mandatory
- Expertise in Agile SAFe methodologies, iterative methodologies and Behavior Driven Development techniques is highly preferred
