Do you want to use research techniques and data to help us understand and improve rehoming processes? Can you use your findings to help us find innovative ways of improving adopted dog welfare?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Officer (Rehoming) to join our Canine Behaviour and Research team to support activities related to rehoming, including relinquishment, welfare in our care, adoption and post adoption support. This role will also include research-related activities related to the design and delivery of a new digital rehoming process across our 22 centres and the resultant research related to improving our understanding of rehoming.
The role will be varied and include close interaction with various teams and departments, especially Operations and IT. As such it is important that the Research Officer (Rehoming) possesses strong communication skills and can communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Due to the variety in the role, it is important the Research Officer (Rehoming) can approach tasks in a structured logical way and manage multiple activities simultaneously.

The Canine Behaviour & Research department delivers the technical resources and skills to enable Dogs Trust staff to provide the best possible support for the dogs within its care and evidence-based advice to external stakeholders in order to improve canine welfare worldwide. The Research team aims to ensure that policy, practice and operational activity is based in the best evidence.
