In this role as a Sector Strategist, you will work directly to connect employers with qualified participants/candidates and provide information on employer services available to them through CareerSource Tampa Bay.


Scope of Position:
The Sector Strategist will work collaboratively with the Business Services team to assist employers with finding quality candidates. The Sector Strategist will also outreach to employers and assist them in the completion of work-based learning contracts.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  • Model Servant Leadership by living EDSI’s core values
  • Represent CareerSource Tampa Bay at all local networking and chamber events
  • Develop relationships with local businesses and develop a network for job placement
  • Create, generate, and submit job orders
  • Enter employer information into all appropriate databases and monitor employer activities
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive account management and follow-up
  • Accurately complete required documentation, including job order checklist, handoff checklist and confirmation form
  • Maintain organized database of clients and keep detailed documentation of all contacts with clients through CRM
  • Maintain files as specified by funder and scan necessary documents for electronic files
  • Meet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of all CareerSource Tampa Bay programs, services, initiatives, and activities
  • Provide information to businesses on available training grants, placement services or reduction in force support and, where needed, provision of such services to employers
  • Implement and coordinate industry-specific recruitment events as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Sales or marketing experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
  • Florida Workforce Professional Certification Tier I required (must be completed within 1 year of employment)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
