Senior Product Executive Director - Client Payments Strategy

J.P. Morgan Payments Product Client Strategy team is a strategic, multi-disciplinary center of excellence with a commanding grasp of the emerging trends driving global payments in conjunction with competitor position & market direction of J.P. Morgan. Building on this foundation, Client Strategy manages the playbooks and strategy direction of J.P Morgan Payments' Acquiring Platform and Rails product delivery to clients and the broader market.
We are seeking a strong Sr. Product Director to join the Client Strategy team and contribute to our efforts in our go to market playbook design, product sequencing, regional nuances and overall long-term business strategy allowing our product teams to build and deliver strong and innovative acquiring products for our global client base.
The candidate will be fulfilling a critical role within an exciting and growing team in the JPMorgan Chase Payments Acquiring Platform & Rails organization. As the payments industry is growing and innovation disruptors are competing for our business, JPMorgan Chase has ventured on a multiyear transformation and modernization journey to transform our payments business to innovative and integrate solutions on a modern technology stack leveraging existing foundations in place today. We are staying laser focused on client priorities and success, keeping industry and market trends in mind to shape our products and services and direct how we streamline internal operating models for a best-in-class client experience that is a market differentiator.
This role will be the lead of the Client Strategy and Product Journey team and will be accountable to design strategy playbooks aligned to our portfolio and pipeline client base. The playbooks will define targeted client segments and how these segments consume global acquiring products and services. Further, the playbooks will identify regional nuances and the regional product needs of our global client base. The Client Strategist will also give key product sequencing recommendations based on portfolio data, experience data, markets trends, field sales feedback and emerging payment trends to product leadership resulting in the sequencing and delivery of the modern payments platform.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, Masters preferred; 10+ Years Product Management experience in fintech, ecommerce with a focus on global payments
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed as well as being a thought leader; Strong problem-solving skills, ability to quickly deliver solution insights and resolve directional ambiguity; Ability to analyze the sales pipeline to decipher the needs of the client and translate those needs to strategic insights and direction; Ability to work and lead in a cross functional environment with strong partnerships with the Client Success, Client Delivery, Voice of Customer, Business Architecture and Product teams
- Excellent executive level verbal and written communication skills. Ability to crisply articulate payments strategy in both written (presentation) and verbal form to a wide variety of internal audiences; Deep understanding of global methods of payments and the customer segments that leverage these methods of payment to solve for the client's regional customer base
- Experience in creating executive level communication documents e.g., producing high quality presentation decks that articulate the needs of global clients in integrating payments technology
- Multifaceted discipline with the ability to interact with clients, field teams, and internal owners in aggregating experience data and delivering key insights and strategy direction to all audiences
- Strong ability to articulate the value and experience the firm will deliver to a segment of customers over a short, mid and long term product strategy and product experience journey; A strong understanding and ability to deliver financial modeling against product delivery in the total addressable market
- Deliver a data driven approach to product and feature sequencing inclusive of predictive analysis and highlighting the value of emerging payment trends; Ability to understand the diverse needs of clients in specific regions of the globe; Understanding of the Treasury suite of services a plus inclusive of both global receivables and disbursement
