As a member of the Temporary Staffing Office, to contribute to the provision of an efficient and professional Temporary Staffing service, which includes recruitment, compliance checks and monitoring, provision of management data and reports, managing temporary staff requests, processing invoices and carrying out weekly payroll activities

To contribute to the provision of a high-quality comprehensive recruitment service, ensuring the timely appointment to vacancies across all (non-medical) staff groups which is consistent with Trust policy, legislative requirements and best practice

To deliver exceptional customer service to all services within the Trust. The post holder will usually be the initial point of contact with members of the general public interested in working for the organisation

Provide support and guidance to managers regarding the recruitment and onboarding of bank workers.

This exciting role is an integral part of our busy Temporary Staffing Team, you will have the important task of coordinating bank services for the Royal Marsden Foundation Trust. You will provide a comprehensive temporary staffing service to all areas of the Trust, including bookings, invoicing and recruitment.

The role requires excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and you must be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate a clear commitment to providing a high standard of customer service. You will enjoy working in a team and will be capable of working on your own initiative. You will be organised, self-motivated and keen to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have an excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, good IT skills.

To ensure that a dynamic and efficient temporary staffing service is delivered and maintained on a day-to-day basis, proactively sourcing and providing temporary staffing cover for Nursing, AHP and A&C roles.

Follow Trust SOP’s in ensuring that all requirements for temporary staff are filled where possible by the appropriate bank workers, and where this is not feasible, to liaise with Services and follow procedures for escalating requirements to the Master Vendor as required.

Review departments’ future rosters to gaps in staffing levels, liaising with services directly to confirm any temporary staff cover that may be needed. To act as first point of contact for any bank employee queries, password requests, and bank payroll enquiries.

Work with Payroll provider to ensure that payroll issues are resolved and providing timely and professional service to our customers.

Provide timely response to enquiries from managers and requestors regarding temporary staffing, in respect of direct engagement and agency framework compliance regulations. Raise instances of non-compliance with agency regulations from external providers, and escalate unresolved concerns to the Temporary Staffing Office Manager.

Provide information and reports on temporary staff usage (fill rates), agency to bank ratio, mandatory training and compliance as requested.
