Job Description

ServU Federal Credit Union is looking for an outgoing, professional individual to join our team. This employee will process transaction requests, disburse negotiable instruments, interact with and provide Credit Union information to our members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process transaction requests.
  • Process mail and night deposits
  • Greet and respond to member inquiries and requests.
  • Back up receptionist and answer incoming phone calls.
  • Assist other departments with mailings and special projects.
  • Become proficient in all credit union services and products. Explain, promote and cross sell them to members as appropriate.
  • Comply with all safety and security policies, practices and procedures.
  • Develop a working knowledge of ServU data processing system as it pertains to your job.
  • Assist in other job duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position requires standing for long periods of time (4 to 8 hours)
  • Basic personal computer skills
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good grammar and communication skills
  • Friendly social skills and professional appearance
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Timeliness and regularity of attendance are essential to the job
  • Ability to count money and make mathematical computations
