Position Purpose:

  • Provide effective trust administration and investment advice to trust and investment management clients
  • Proactively develop client relationships and new business

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Trust Officer or Trust Relationship Manager responsible for a book of clients containing various types of trust, agency, and estate settlement accounts desired
  • CTFA or other trust certification desired
  • Attorney preferred

  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of trust, estate and investing services and applicable laws

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build and maintain highly respected and confidential relationships with clients and beneficiaries; build and maintain multi-generational relationships
  • Maintain the highest level of client satisfaction with AMG and its services
  • Build and maintain relationships with co-trustees, attorneys, community leaders, accountants, and others
  • Develop new business; obtain and follow up on referrals to new clients; use prospect database appropriately
  • Help build and maintain awareness of AMG in the community
  • Fully understand and help market the full array of AMG’s services
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on matters related to trusts, estates, investments and related areas
  • Review, understand, summarize and comply with trust legal documents
  • Determine appropriate actions for accounts; proactively take and appropriately document such actions
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, governing documents and applicable regulations
  • Manage investments and cash in client accounts
  • Process distributions from client accounts
  • Review accounts with clients on a periodic basis, as appropriate
  • Determine that all tax returns are filed timely, including quarterly estimated payments
  • Correspond with grantors, beneficiaries, co-trustees and others about accounts, as appropriate
  • Accurately and timely establish new accounts using appropriate forms and processes
  • Prepare and process court accountings
  • Educate other AMG employees regarding trusts, estate and related areas, as requested
  • Identify and help implement trust administration process and control improvements
  • Maintain highly effective and respectful working relationships with AMG staff in all areas
  • Effectively set and communicate priorities
  • Regularly attend and actively participate in conference calls and staff meetings as requested
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, self-motivation, hard work, follow-through, high-quality work, accuracy, attention to detail, effective judgment
  • Adapt to changes and new responsibilities
  • Operate standard office machines, including computer, printer, scanners, copy machines, fax machines, postage machine
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
