Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced video editor and producer to join our content marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging video content that drives conversions through paid ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube and delivers on the brand's message and objectives. This marketing role will involve working collaboratively with the team to plan, produce, and edit videos that align with our marketing goals and overall brand strategy. This position is hybrid and based out of Tinley Park, IL.

What You’ll Make

MakeStickers is a fast-growing, custom sticker and labeling company based just outside of Chicago, IL. We believe video is the best way to engage and educate our users while being the most effective medium for attracting and converting new customers. As our Video Content Creator, you will play a pivotal role in helping our customers find answers about our products and get inspiration for their next design.


You'll have the opportunity to create two main types of videos: short-form paid advertising videos and educational & inspiring videos that target SEO-rich keywords in our industry and customer space.

Short Form

The videos produced will be widely viewed, garnering hundreds of thousands of views across our ad placements. However, our emphasis is not solely on quantity but also on the quality of the videos produced. Key performance indicators (KPIs) such as watch time, engagement rates, click-throughs, and other marketing metrics are utilized to measure the quality of the videos. As a result, a significant part of the role involves reviewing, interpreting, and distilling relevant insights from our ad analytics tools. Our guiding principle is simple - in the fast-paced realm of digital advertising, success hinges on producing high output, conducting dependable A/B tests, and constantly experimenting to refine and optimize our videos.

Educational & Inspiring

Our objective is to produce concise, educational, and motivational videos, lasting between 5-7 minutes, that convey valuable information to our viewers. These videos can be likened to explainer videos, as they aim to address the most pressing questions that our customers have been asking. We endeavor to ensure that our videos are optimized for SEO, meaning they are thoughtfully titled, scripted, and edited to maximize their reach to the widest possible audience. While our videos prioritize being informative, we also strive to make them engaging and entertaining to hold the attention of our viewers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce short-form videos for digital advertising campaigns that drive engagement, clicks, and conversions across various ad placements.
  • Conduct A/B tests, analyze ad analytics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize video performance and increase watch time, engagement rate, and click-throughs.
  • Create engaging and informative educational and inspiring videos that answer questions about our products and services, as well as provide useful tutorials for customers needing help in designing, ordering, and using our products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest video production trends, techniques, and technologies, incorporating them into our video content.
  • Manage and maintain video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to generate new and creative ideas for video content.
  • Manage and organize video assets, including raw footage, edits, and final cuts.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with the company's brand voice, tone, and messaging.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of video content, make recommendations for improvement, and implement changes as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in creating short-form videos for Youtube and TikTok
  • Experience creating, evaluating, and correcting the performance of video assets in paid advertising campaigns
  • 2+ years of experience in video production and editing
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
  • Knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
