Job description

We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Administrator to join our busy team at QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) based in Ashford. QTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group PLC specialising in the design and manufacture of a range of state of the art Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target systems including the world leading Banshee target.

QTS targets are used to enable realistic weapons test and evaluation and operator training in over 40 countries worldwide with QTS providing a complete managed service in over 15 of these countries.

The role involves:
Packing of goods according to work instructions. Ensuring items are packed correctly and they have the necessary paperwork for couriers and customers

Transacting of incoming goods, with accurate recordkeeping and distribution

Kitting of items, components and assemblies, in line with instructions with accurate record keeping

Assisting with stock control activities, as required

Use of electronic in-house ERP system

Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will:
Have experience of working in a Warehouse/Stores environment.
Confident with use of Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
Good organizational skills
Good communication skills
Good attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills
Must be able/happy with lifting heavy goods
Be confident in the handling of hazardous goods
