Role Overview

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Operative will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Warehouse to meet productivity and quality requirements whilst adhering to all safety, environmental and energy standards.

Main Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Operate a counter balanced fork lift truck to transport pallets of finished product to stock.

Ensure that all systems of work, procedures and work instructions are adhered to.

Provide flexibility and ability to carry out a variety of tasks.

Responsible for keeping the work area clean.

Ensure continuity of warehouse operation is maintained by communicating all issues (i.e. safety, productivity, environmental and maintenance, by highlighting to the Warehouse Manager.)

To comply with and promote all health, safety, environmental and energy requirements for the job, site and company.

To confront and report unsafe behaviors to prevent safety or environmental incidents.

Contribute and take part in continuous improvement activities.

Incorporate the Knauf Values in all aspect of day-to-day working (i.e. Menschlichkeit Partnership Commitment Entrepreneurship.)

Requirements, Experience & Qualifications

Applicants must have a current FLT license

Experienced in pallet loading activities is desired.

Team player.

Numeracy & literacy skills

Basic level computer skills required.

Attention to detail is a key requirement of this position in regards to shipment loading activities and data entry in SAP etc.

A high degree of concern for order & quality is required to work in the Warehouse operation at Cwmbran plant

High level commitment to conform to standardised practices is expected.

Applicants will be expected to work predominately a 7 day shift rota consisting of 10/12 hour day, afternoon & night shifts, and be prepared to be flexible with their hours to meet customer requirements.
