Our client is a charitable care provider with good and outstanding retirement villages across Bristol. They have care homes within the villages for residents who require additional support. Every home has a dedicated therapy team on-site, so they can work proactively with residents and respond quickly whenever their skills are required - enhancing our residents' mobility, independence and well-being.
Location: Westbury on Trym ( We also have roles in Keynsham and Winscombe)
Salary: £11.04
Additional £1 at weekends and nights. (Nights 9pm- 730am)
Additional£1.50 weekend nights (Fridays 12am-730am, Saturday 9pm- 730am, Sunday 9pm- 12am)
Public Holidays additional 50% of hourly rate.
Hours:
Early shift: 7am-230pm
Late shift: 2pm-930pm
Night shift: 9pm- 730am
Long shift: 7am-930pm
We are looking for care workers for two care homes in the area.
The first has been thoughtfully designed to give residents the best experience of ageing. Rated good by CQC it boasts exceptional, easy access garden spaces, including scented gardens and parkland area with ancient trees, fishponds, conservatories and a croquet lawn. There’s a secure garden for their dementia care unit and in the central atrium, you’ll find everything from a hair salon to a community store for life's little essentials. Residents and their family are also free to use the wider facilities available in the village.

The second has a distinctive atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. This is captured by the inscription that greets every visitor. Written by the team, it simply says: “Our residents do not live in our workplace, we work in their home”. They offer residents opportunities to grow their own vegetables for the kitchen, support a charity in a Bake Off competition, enjoy a talk on photography or teach staff a thing or two in the Knit and Natter group. They tailor the activities programme so residents can decide what they do and loved ones are welcome to join in too.
