We currently have some exciting opportunities for Band 3 Healthcare Assistants and Healthcare Apprentices to work at our Trust.

Our teams require colleagues who are reliable, competent, and conscientious with the ability to work as part of a staff team, having good skills in communication is a must! It is important that applicants can demonstrate confidence in supporting individuals who may present with complex challenging behaviour.

Don’t worry if you are not yet qualified as we are also looking for remarkable candidates to join our Healthcare Apprenticeship programme, where you will being your career as Band 2 Healthcare assistant whilst you will attain a level 3 qualification and once completed you will become a Band 3 Health Care Assistant

At the end of the programme, you will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Health Care Assistant and will work to a nationally recognised code of conduct.

You are expected to have an understanding of the principles of Transforming care and be key in its implementation within our services. You will have a good understanding of person-centred care and be able to demonstrate this throughout your practice.

Applicants must demonstrate qualities including compassion, courage, and care. Experience of supporting individuals is important. You will be expected to work under supervision and direction with the confidence and ability to use own initiative as required.

Main duties include but not limited to
  • • Delivering personal care to patients
  • Dealing with potential and actual conflict situations which may include the use of Trust approved DMI techniques
  • Undertaking basic physical observations and supportive engagements of patients.
  • Liaising with teams within our Trust
  • Liaising with families and carers.
