SUMMARY: The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining, controlling, and operating machines and equipment that are used in the manufacturing in a safe and proficient manner.

• Experience in corrugated industry is a must.
• Basic computer skills are a must.
• Safety dedication is unconditional.
• Print experience is a big plus.
• Career corrugated manufacturing history is a big plus.
• Sets up and operates machine.
• Observes, monitors, and adjusts machine as necessary
• Positions, adjusts, and feeds material manually to complete orders.
• Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
• Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
• Selects the appropriate tools to maximize efficiency and ensure quality of product
• Works from and in accordance with specifications and design criteria including but not limited to verbal instructions, work orders, and drawings.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be highly organized and able to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
• Ability to speak English to communicate clearly with supervisors and managers.
• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
• Corrugated industry experience a plus
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Basic computer skills are a must.
• Safety dedication is unconditional.
• Print experience is a big plus.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process, procedures, and machinery a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 40 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted.
