Revenue Team
The Indie Campers Revenue team works across the user lifecycle to develop a compelling global marketplace and community around road trips. We employ data and insights to help us best acquire, engage, serve, monetise and retain travellers and hosts across all of our territories to ensure that our customers are able to go on amazing road trips around the world. The Revenue team consists of our Customer Excellence, Marketing, Supply, Revenue Management and Data teams, so the work you do will depend on your particular blend of skills but will always be customer-centric, data-driven and collaborative as we work on increasing customer choice, value and satisfaction. The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Marketing Manager to scale Indie Campers in the US markets by driving marketing activities to the right target audience across different organic channels.
You would be responsible for all inbound marketing activities and KPIs focused on increasing organic traffic and our market share. Including but not limited to:
- Developing and prospecting the market from a holistic marketing perspective
- Create and execute an original, forward-looking inbound strategy that reflects Indie Campers core brand values in order to drive inbound marketing growth
- Ensure Indie Campers is always ahead of the curve on understanding marketing innovation to be at the forefront of the industry
As a Marketing Manager, you will work in close co-operation with key teams throughout Indie Campers to ensure sustainable organic growth in your market, including close collaboration with key stakeholders such as operations, product marketing, Technical SEO, customer excellence and Product.
What you´ll do:
- Track and own the organic performance across the applicable web domains and geographies in your market (rankings, sessions, backlinks, share of voice, etc.);
- Continuously optimize and localize website content for the markets, with high attention to detail. Own and manage the content marketing pipeline, proposing topics in line with target KWs, search seasonality, and overall SEO relevance. Own translation, ensure coherence, market fit and accuracy phrasing for website changes.
- Own and manage the PR activity, defining KPIs, develop media relationships and best practice PR processes. Build a content calendar other agile tactics to secure high-quality coverage (online + offline).
- Plan, manage and optimize the blog and new landing pages, from KW research to content creating, coordinating freelancers and reporting. Manage social channels with the Social Media manager in coordination with the market content calendar, track and optimize performance.
- Manage any ad hoc marketing partnerships (blogs and travel sites) and other distribution channels including freelancers and agency management when applicable. Engage and manage relevant partners in the markets, with the goal of increasing organic traffic.
- Analyze, review and scrape competitors’ SEO and overall marketing strategies and tactics in order to benchmark marketing activity on an ongoing basis;
- Campaigns and analysis. Run german market-specific campaigns and initiatives and measure/evaluate the ROI of those marketing initiatives. Ensure the strategy execution is aligned with the devised plan.
Who you are:
- At least 3 years’ of relevant experience in Marketing, with knowledge of Content strategy & creation, SEO, PR, social media and partnerships
- Experience in fast-growth and young business where you have defined core processes, cross-functional working practices and build a strong organic sales pipeline
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Native in German
- Experience and knowledge about the media landscape in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (having established relationships with journalists in these markets is a strong plus);
- Comfortable analysing SEO performance and have all the know-how on how to utilize insight from tools like Ahrefs, Accuranker, Google Search Console and Analytics
- High levels of proactivity and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude (“get stuff done” mindset);
- Outstanding at solving complex problems that require logical reasoning and good intuition;
- Able to work in a highly dynamic and international environment;
