Our products go through rigorous tests before hitting our shelves. First off, we need to assess if they meet both legal and safety requirements. After that it's down to quality. It means you'll organise panels for testing, co-ordinate meetings with suppliers and put in place the processes and procedures that help us make well-informed purchasing decisions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a quality assurance/food technical professional, who has previous experience within manufacturing or retail to join our high performing fast paced Quality Assurance team.

You will have experience in a food or non- food quality role liaising with suppliers and Buying teams to communicate on issues, routine due diligence and customer complaints.

Communication excellence is a key part of this role (both written and verbal). You will need to demonstrate that you can pro-actively manage your area of responsibility and assist in developing and maintaining quality management systems. The role will be a key support role for the QAA team and to drive pace and leadership in the role is a key skill that you need to possess.

Your New Role


  • Managing the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing with internal and external parties
  • Provide timely support to the Quality and Buying teams
  • Assisting in the development and maintaining of QA systems, procedures, and documentation
  • Actively managing your area of responsibility
  • Manage TSP’s on a day to day basis
  • Supporting the QA Manager by being proactive and responsive
  • General Administration duties, and covering other QA Assistants where necessary


About You


  • A-Level educated or equivalent
  • Knowledge of supplier audit systems
  • Previous experience working in a technical or QA/Technical team in a Retail head office environment or in a QA/Technical team at a food manufacturing site/supplier
  • Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise and build relationships at all levels
  • Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently and part of a team
  • Presentation / training skills
  • Confident, professional and articulate
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

  • Salary starting from £34,690 rising to £40,510
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
