2nd & 3rd shift positions are available as we have clients needing coverage 7 days a week including holidays; part time, and full time availability will be considered.

Must have a clean background, valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and strong work ethic. The right candidate shall have good report writing skills, impeccable attendance, eager communication and provide friendly customer service while maintaining the safety and security of the establishment.Immediate positions are open!!! We are currently hiring UNARMED Security Officers (or Armed officers willing to work unarmed for the time being) at Union Place Apartments, a Permanent Supportive Housing Development located in Lafayette, IN.

Permanent Supportive Housing Developments are created to house individuals that have been chronically homeless for more than a 12 month period. That being said the qualities that we would need in a Security Officer are:

• Believe that all persons have a right to quality affordable housing
• Understand that we work with tenants to keep them housed by doing eviction prevention and are committed to break the cycle of homelessness
• Crisis De-escalation, handling individuals that have mental health issues and substance abuse addictions
• Documentation -Keep daily logs of activity, fill out incident reports, give out tenant complaint forms when requested
• Assess the nature of a crisis and determine if law enforcement should be called
• Interact with tenants and visitors and be able to intervene without hesitation
• Keep all tenant activity confidential
• Maintain and enforce No Trespassing individuals to the property
• Possibly some emergency clean up
• Communication skills notifying management of all incidents
• Being courteous and professional at all times
