The Role

LJV is looking for an experienced Superintendent that displays strong leadership and organizational skills as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with constantly evolving goals. The Superintendent will be in charge of directing and coordinating the roles of laborers, material movers, and the help. The Superintendent will also be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of a construction site according to project specs and scope of work.

• Coordinate subcontractors, perform quality control and safety checks and provide on-site direction when preparing construction sites.
• Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
• Provide advice and assistance to field staff regarding materials, sequencing, scheduling, personnel, and methods of construction.
• Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
• Process and communicate RFI’s and Submittals

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the Construction industry
• Preferably someone with experience in the trades as a foreman or skill worker
• CSL certification required
• OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certified
• Good planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation, and contingencies
• In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations
• Effective leadership abilities
