About the role

This hands on position will sit within our Operations team and is a full time permanent role. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the goods in (packaged and bulk RMs), warehousing and dispatch of FGs functions for our UK site.

You will also be assisting in the loading and unloading of goods in and goods out as well as unloading bulk tankers, as and when required to support your team. You will ideally possess a FLT licence (but training can be given), in addition to being flexible in your approach.

Key responsibilities

Full management of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with material segregation and all SHE requirements.

Responsible for ensuring incoming goods (packaged and bulk) are safely unloaded and correctly receipted.

Ensure plant RMs requisitions are actioned in a timely manner to avoid plant downtime due to RM unavailability.

Regularly review and inspect site racking to ensure it is certified and safe to use.

Ensure customer deliveries of both bulk and packaged goods are loaded according to required ADR requirements and shipped on time to ensure customer delivery.

Work with logistics supply partners and in-plants where required to highlight and resolve any customer supply issues and ensure on-time delivery of orders.

Look after and liaise with 3rdparty UK based external warehouses as required to ensure the correct movement of goods.

As required to support the warehouse team be prepared to operate a forklift truck to load or unload deliveries or, if required, unload tanker deliveries.

Manage the OTIF KPI for the site and work towards reducing OTIF failures with other functions as needed.

About you

The successful candidate will ideally have excellent knowledge of Warehouse operations within the UK, in addition to knowledge and experience of working with hazardous chemicals. Strong management experience with the ability to effectively motivate and lead cross-functional teams, delegating where appropriate.

Confident reviewing data quickly and effectively as to aid business evaluation and decision-making. Experienced in managing workloads and performance of direct team members, ensuring high standards are achieved in all aspects within the team.

Salary & benefits: The salary for the position will be in the range of £40,000 - £47,500 dependent upon experience. In addition to your salary, you will also be included into our company bonus scheme (Group Staff Bonus & Profit Performance Bonus). Our Group Staff Bonus & Profit Performance Pay bonus scheme reinforces the Scott Bader principle of working together for a common goal and sharing in our successes.

Pension: We offer a generous contribution to your pension and dependant on your monthly commitment, we will contribute up to a maximum of 2x your contribution up to a maximum of 10%.
