HOURS -

  • 2nd Shift Openings
  • 10% Shift differential
  • Late afternoon start times
  • Saw shop works 4:30 pm - 5:00 am
  • Heat Treat works 2:00 pm - 12:30 am or 8:00 pm - 6:30 am
  • Machine Shop works 4:30 pm - 5:00 am

Helpful experience includes micrometer, caliper, shop math, CNC, mill, lathe, fork lift, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Run production, monitoring saw/CNC machines/ lathes/mills/furnace/presses, check parts throughout run making necessary adjustments to conform to specifications. Select tools based on process and various materials.
  • Use forklift for material handling of fabricated metal, some shipping and warehousing.
  • Use overhead crane to move parts.
  • Calculate chain and strap adjustments to ensure safe lifting (will train).
  • Program / monitor furnace cycles via temperature controllers & adjustments.
  • Examine material visually for flaws, defects, and clean-up.
  • Properly calibrate all equipment.
  • Use micrometers,calipers and tape measure to verify dimensions. (will train if needed).
  • Use saw to cut metal parts. Use forklift to load and unload forged metal materials
  • Prior to loading part, identify metal, material type, verify blueprint and dimensions.
  • Read and understand basic blueprints -weights, product sizes locations, hardness, test location (will train).
  • Some CNC machining work based on experience.
  • Set up lathes, mills, band saws and CNCs for production.
  • Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools.
  • Make programming edits for G & M codes (will train if necessary).
  • Read and understand entire part routing.
  • Actively participate in safety program to ensure safe work behaviors and conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Use of common inspection tools (calipers, tape measure, etc.)
  • Blueprint reading
  • Forklift Operation
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Shop math and computer skills
  • Hand tools
  • Prior experience preferred
  • Crane rigging and operation experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, Occasional lifting to 65 lbs dependent on role
  • Shoveling of chips
  • Varying temperatures in Summer and Winter

We are looking for Metal Fabircation Technicians, Heavy Equipment Operators, Utility Workers, CNC Machinists, Machine Operators, Maintenance, Production and Manufacturing Technicians. Helpful experience includes measurements, metal fabrication, band saws, boring, gauges, grinding, trim, CNC machinists, maintenance, manufacturing, working with overhead cranes, heavy equipment operator, forklift, material handling, shipping / receiving, machine operator, farming equipment, skidster, etc. Experience with micrometers, calipers, blueprints, tape measure or shop math are a real plus.
