Radiation Therapist – Float

Suffolk County, NY

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking an Experienced Radiation Therapist to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

Radiation Therapists deliver radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist

In this role you will:

• Travel between multiple offices.
• Administer radiation to specific body parts.
• Position the patient properly to ensure correct treatment.
• Follow principles of radiation protection for themselves and others.
• Review and check charts.
• Always ensure patient safety.
• Prepare the treatment machine, including daily quality assurance tests and making immobilization devices.
• Counsel and monitor any patient side effects.

We require:

• A valid NY State License in Radiation Therapy
• Registration with ASRT and ARRT.
• Reliable transportation (Travel to Setauket, Patchogue, and Riverhead)
• Experience required

Hours: Monday–Friday

Salary up to $55.00 an hour.
